World War Z, starring Brad Pitt This movie is like 9 years old, but just now viewing it for the first time. Odd how it feels so much like a post pandemic movie, but it was made way before covid was even on anyone's radar. What did they know back then? Just started watching, but so far, seems like a decent movie. I mean if Brad Pitt's in a movie, usually the movie is going to 'bring it'...even if it's a 28 days later type of theme. I must admit, these are some of the craziest zombies or infected, I've ever seen on film, they make the ones from 28 days later seem tame

Absentia - 2011
It's been a long day, my mind is beat and shot, so will call it a night, but on the way out, or while laying down, will give this movie here a try..Absentia...I guess it came out in 2011, but the preview seemed somewhat decent. Usually horror movies made back then were still somewhat decent.
It's on Prime video right now and where I'll watch part of it.

Final destination 5
I'm late to this party, but not a bad movie, the acting is pretty solid. Like many movies, sure, it could of been pushed along a bit quicker, but over all it just has that old fashion sit down and watch the whole movie feel to it.

Final Destination 2
Now I'm watching part 2, oddly these movies now seem interesting to me, maybe cause of my emotional state, maybe I take solace in watching other peoples demise instead of my own, even though it's fictional drama.

Shadow puppets
Older movie, but i like it, watching it on Amazon now, my second go around. I like these older, early 2000's horror movies, the production quality is just better than today's microwave studio productions.

Ever watch a older scary movie 'again', or even 3 or 4 times, yet still get shocked or scared by certain scenes, moments, that for whatever reason you forget are there?
I know I do at times, as am now while watching Paranormal Activity part 2.
There's a few 'jumper' moments in this movie I just forgot about.

The house on pine street trailer
Watching this one now, and I must say it does feel kind of scary.
I've noticed scary movies that use 'sound' as background moise, instead of generic music, do tend to be creepier, and this movie does feel a bit creepy, and that's what you want in a scary movie.

Digging to death
This is a odd one. At times you don't know whether to laugh or be scared or spooked.
It's like a 'B' horror movie that kind of works on many levels, depending on what your going through in your own life. This movie is layered with many different metaphors.
Again, it's just a odd movie, at least for me. It's like you know it's no good, yet keep watching anyways.

This movie kind of has that 'Drag me to Hell' type of sway to it, where bad things keep occurring to the main character, but in a almost Abbot and Costello type of way, and so not sure whether to laugh or be scared.

Zombie Warz - Falls the Shadow
I'm still watching this, but this zombie movie, unlike other ones, really takes on 'racism', in a post apocalyptic world. And again, still watching, but so far I think this movie probably depicts how things would be for real, as in like in prison how everyone clumps together around their own physical kind.
But the only thing about movies like this, they cast all black folks as being like African dark skinned blacks. Sorry, but black folks come in many different colors, shades, ethnicities, and more....but seems white movie directors, to them, there's only and always one dark shade of 'black', like the movie roots or something.
In reality, sorry, you're not just going to see 1844 looking blacks, as if just released from slavery or something, but that's always how movies portray black folks....not sure why.
There's Puerta Rican mixed black, Cuban mixed black, Islander black, white/black mixed black, black and Asian and American Indian just to name a few. But in the movies, all blacks are cast to all look 'pure', again, not sure why.
But that aside, this movie deals with some strong racial issues. Watching on Amazon.

The deep house
This one is worth a watch, a disturbing ending though.

Deadwar?...ahh
I don't know, this movie had the potential to be so much more, to many slow dialogue scenes ruined it. This should of been a fast paced movie, then maybe it would have worked.
Cut out the dialogue fat.

Racoon Valley = $175.00 budget
This movie only cost $175 dollars to make, yet one of the scariest movies I've seen in a while. Actually, I've seen it before, but it hit me just as hard, if not harder, the second time around.

Steve Niles - Remains
Watching this one now on Amazon/Freebee or Freevee? (Where can watch movie for free but with commercials)
Only about 20% into the movie, it's OK....it's a zombie movie...but so far, it's OK.
Not the best zombie movie, not the worst, and the fact that I'm still watching it says a lot.
It just kind of teeters on the edge of having that 'B' movie effect to it, but so far, anyways, it's managing to stay above that 'B' movie threshold.
But you might feel differently. I mean there's only so many ways directors can still get creative with zombie movies. This one takes place in Vegas.
