Shopping while 'Black', ect
Shopping while 'black', and the 'ect' is for 'others', in that not every one deemed 'black' by society really is, everyone defines black in different ways, some define it as behavior, others as a mindset, others as a unique American experience from civil rights era, others a color, others hair texture and so forth.
There's a lot of people walking around today, who others may lazily consider 'black', but in persons mind they may identify more with Asians or Puerto Ricans ect.
All that aside, this section here is very long over do.
For the one common thread any and all people of color do have, especially if that color is linked to Africa, is being profiled in a negative way by society, even by other so called 'blacks', native and or foreign.

After all my years of shopping, and never ever shoplifting, nor having the desire to, I'm beginning to think, observe, that most people are just hardwired to be 'racist', or to 'elevate self', at the expense of another's dignity.
The whole 'Well they're a thief, but I'm not', type of self stroaking.
When through my experience in life, I've learned that it's usually those who accuse others of 'this or that', are the very ones doing 'this or that' behind the scenes. It's odd how that works.
And also, most of the 'big theft' occurs behind the scenes, with money managers, those in charge of 'the papers', who shim hundreds or 1000's, even millions off the books, but when they're caught and arrested, you never see them being tackled by the police on the evening news, it's all about perception.
But perception does obviously favor some over others.

As a person of color, since I was born, I think, but as person of color, what geeks like this don't realize is that 'we' observe this behavior 1000's of times over our life time, it's not just a 'one time or even 3 or 4 or 20 time deal', it occurs over and over and over again until just dead. As such it's we, who are profiled, who become that experts at those who profile us...and they're more predictable than a fly attracted to whatever. This guy here is a dead give away, why? 1. Older taller fit professional 'W' guy in supermarket (people like that don't live in my area) 2. Dresses like either a real, or wanna be Detective (I have prior experience with that believe it or not) 3. If you notice, they don't have a basket or shopping cart and are actually casually returning item to shelf, who does that? 4. They spoke to me as they walked by behind me, again regular shoppers focused on their shopping just don't casually say 'Oh, how are you doing'. (That's their way of bleeding off nervous energy, trying to extablish 'contact', cause in their mind I'm already 'bad'), it's apart of their training to let you know 'your noticed'...very bad training I must add. And I could go on and on and on, this dude 'F'd up, how else was I already ready for them with body cam and all...huh, what duh?? ________________________________________________________ I'm cammed up everywhere I go now just so can start capturing moments like this, instead of just writing about it, cause people need to 'see', instead of just hearing. It never stops, ever, if male, black, or person of color, expect this behavior from racist until your dead, it will never ever stop, not after Floyd, Rodney King or any other future victim of a racist society, and or mindset, it's just socially hardwired into most.

Dan, you better get out there, this tall fit male of color is headed towards the canned goods isle, they think they're slick, Dan, go check them out, get a good description of them, see if they have any weapons on them. Sorry, but talk about retarded, but that's what blind racist are to me, is retarded. I guess in their minds I'm going to run out the store with a bag of peanuts in my arm and ketchup in the other arm. You may laugh, but believe it or not that's the 'level' racist cops, and security, think most black males dwell on. It's degrading though actually, that in their minds your standard of conduct stoops that low. And all they while they're watching you, miss old Lady over in next Isle is ripping the store blind stuffing bags of rice in her purse. I wish this were a comedy but it's not, it's what black shoppers, or those deemed as such, have to deal with every day of our life, on top of all the other hassles others go through as well.

If a single adult male of color and shopping alone, the bar of expectation has been set so low for you, us and them that even when doing everything right, proper, and get to check out isle, even other women of color, or black female, thinks you're on EDT or EBT or whatever that program called where you get free food.
You can't just be a normally adjusted adult make of color shopping for groceries and spending your own money, no, that's to 'normal' I guess...and when a black male of color shopping, society never sees you as just normal and or average, instead to them, society, you always have to be running some kind of scheme, up to something shady, trying to cheat the system and whatever.
And this comes from all people, not just 'white folks', but other 'black folks' will stereotype the hell out of you also, and of course Asians and everyone else.
In my whole life, I've never been on any type of Gov food help stuff, but here's the thing, it doesn't matter, cause after lady thought I was the other day, I bet many people just assume I'm getting Gov help when I buy food.
That's why I always say perception is more powerful than the truth.
The truth only matters if it gets out or if someone wants to know the truth about any given matter, but most don't, and instead lead by how they perceive things or you, instead.
So if they perceive you to be dumb, that's their reality.
And they'll make decisions based on their perception of a matter or 'you', and not the reality of the situation, is why humans so scary, cause you never know how someone perceives you until engage them, and even then you don't really know how they perceive you.
Is why so thankful for Amazon, cause it saves me from having to put up with people, while I shop, like at Walmart, or any other place.
It's just not fun shopping while an adult male of color, cause everyone in store thinks your bad, from security to the cashier to the store greeters and more, and it just wears at you after a while...thank you Amazon for making my ability to buy stuff so covenient (or however spelled)

So many 'box' stores just don't get my money anymore cause I so hate shopping while 'black', when younger, no big deal, now that older, for some reason it annoys me more
When younger I just don't think I cared what people thought, and was just more mentally resilient maybe?
But now, as a older more mature established male of color, I just find it above hyper insulting to still walk into a 'box store', any one, and automatically get that look of 'fear' or 'disdain' from all who work there, as if you're in the store to ultimately cause trouble.
I guess as you age you just want more dignity, but when you're a male of color, that dignity is never given to you, unless of course visit the same place over and over again and they get to know you, but even then, how insulting, in that you were the same person the first time you visited store or the 100th time, yet it took them seeing you in store like 48 times before their slow brains finally realize you're a decent person???
Then you get new cashiers, and it starts all over again, the bigotry, the low expectations, as if you're so stumbling fool in store and don't even know how to shop without assistance, when all they want to do is 'watch you'...
I mean if I were indeed a bad person, I'd just rob the place at night or go to some warehouse where all the stuff is before it gets shipped.
I work in logistics, so why would I bother ruining my whole life trying to steal some T-shirt?, or some gdm candy bar???
But sadly that's the low expectations most of society hold you to if an adult male of color and shopping in any store.

Shopping while black has gotten even worse now, thanks to all these snotty nosed urban thugs smash and grabbing and shoplifting from stores.
Now everyone, black/white/Asian/Hispanic and other, will feel totally justified in stereotyping and profiling black shoppers.
If up to me, I'd round up all these shoplifters and send them all to Russia, to be used by Putin as he sees fit.

As a 'B' person, believe it or not, the main people who profile me, in a negative way, while shopping, are darker skinned B folks, go figure
It just amazes me how utterly 'white' B folks behave when given a bit of authority, in that most low IQ black folks will profile you, as a black shopper, quicker than a white person will or would.
