X-Men, First Class

Watching X-Men 1st class right now.

And that scene where the dark X men break into the CIA headquarters and tries to compel the younger X men to join them, and one does, then a fight breaks out, and I paused it.
Why did I pause it?

Cause it troubles me when things on film don't fit reality, as in the nature of 'beings'.

In reality, people like power, in reality people would rather rule, than be ruled over.
And so why would not all of the students follow the villain mutant when it's not his desire to hurt them?

Why would they rather serve 'man', who simply wants to study them and use them? That don't make sense.
But in the movie, as usual, you have beings that are stronger than man, but yet always feel compelled to serve man, why?
It would be like humans submitting themselves, ourselves, to our pets. (And maybe some do in a odd way)

But you get my point.
If I were a X man, I'd of probably followed the outlaw mutants, cause they have or had my best interest at hand.
