Being 'White' I think the best time to be 'W' in America was from 1960-2010. More thoughts to follow as time allows.

I remember growing up in pretty much a all 'W' area and it was just accepted, back then, that if one was 'white', one was normal, and everyone else, all other cultures, were abnormal, if not 'white'.
That's just how it was from like 1960-2010 or maybe 2005, early 2000's.
'White' was just considered 'default', at least in the main stream, but it's the main stream that established societal norms.
Now, of course today, seems like there's a backlash to all of that, but back then, regardless of today, it was just considered normal to be 'white' and it was the standard most in mainstream society strived to be, or be like.

Where I grew up, even whites strived to be more culturally white Where I grew up even whites strived to be more white, as if a competition or something, and this played out in various ways, one of those ways was clean as heck neighborhoods and yards, and sidewalks and law and order (at least where I grew up). White was considered 'standard', and even other whites fought to maintain that 'image' of normality, and regular behavior, the whole 'middle class image'. And where I grew up it was just like that, no litter, yards kept up, landscaped, everything was orderly, for to not be orderly, even in mostly white area, you'd be considered 'ghetto' which meant 'black' or other...and no white person wanted to be thought of as that. So in the area I grew up, whites would out do other whites by being more white. But at the time, for me, that just meant more safety as a youth. Then moved to city, and saw the opposite from blacks, ect, where blacks would try to be more black than other blacks, which meant litter, trash on the sidewalks, violent crimes, poverty and more...it was the total opposite of the white area I grew up in, where even other 'blacks' tried being white, since that was the dominant culture or mindset. But again, that meant safe neighborhoods, standards of conduct, clean streets, well kept parks, nice clean schools and so forth. I mean who doesn't want that?...unless raised in the city in the hood area, then have no idea what that even is.

And where I grew up, in Majority 'white' area, county was like 1.2% black and 'other', not counting the local University population.
But where I grew up 'the whites' were socially orderly, (at least on the surface), in that there were all sorts of programs for youth as in..
1. Cub Scouts 2. Weebloes or Weabloe's, (don't even know if that youth group still exists or not) 3. Girl scouts 4. Boy scouts 5. 4-H club
And more, the parents, actually all of the community as a whole, totally invested in 'the youth'...even little league baseball, sports and more. And nuclear family's as in Dad, Mom, son, daughter, dog, cat, gerbils and more.
With all this structure in majority white area, it was much harder for kids to go astray with so many youth programs...it's not that 'the whites' were better humans, or magically just were born to be more structured, it's the culture of civility 'they' strived for that made communities safer, more productive places to live for all...and even minorities who lived in such areas benefited.
Then of course I moved to the city, urban area, and just the opposite, no scouts of any kind, no little league baseball, the males had no Fathers, the Mom's were mainly single, and on assistance, just chaos. social and structual chaos in comparison to majority white area I grew up in.
And when I say 'white area', I don't mean whites living in subarbs 20 miles outside of city, no, I'm talking like places in Utah (at the time), or Eastern WA state (at the time), nearly all of Idaho, Montana, Wyoming ect.
Sadly those type of communities are vanishing now, one town at a time, and the demigraphics changing also, and things getting run down, drugs pouring in, and whatever.
None white populations moving in and often bringing same destructive city habits and mindsets with them, as well as gangs, and violence...and immigrants from over seas being pumped into the heartland as well...with their own customs and habits, and in many cases language.
Yes, everything is changing now, is what started of by saying the best time to be white in America, at least to me, would be from 1960 to around 2005 or so.
To be continued as time allows.

Went up to corner Gate gas station store, and hit with solicitation while walking in.
1. Black dude selling like Cajun boiled peanuts...I ended up buying some, very very good actually
2. Short stocky white dude, drug addict, pulling the old 'Do you have money for fuel, car ran out of gas' scam
3. Younger scronny white dude, probably no older than 24, if that, they to were 'street', or what I can 'urban hillbilly' type, and wearing sandals, and also begging for funds, but more shy about it.
He was the type that probably still young enough that could flip both ways, as in sex for drugs, they still sorta had that cute look about them. But the thing about the streets, that youthful cute look fades quick when on drugs and homeless, and in a few years you, or they, or anyone will start aging quicker than most, being out there in the elements all the time.

But anyways, that was my excitement for the evening...I just needed to get out and take a short drive, anywhere.
