Deep Freeze
Not sure what year this came out, sometimes I like not knowing and instead taking ques from props in the background, like noticed early on Lady scientist was using a tape cassette type of voice recorder, so obviously digital recorders hadn't come out yet when this movie was made, and movies usually always showcase the newest stuff, so I'm thinking early 90's maybe?
Either way, the movie has that old time 'blockbuster' feel to it, when movies had big budgets, and cast major stars who knew how to act, and when movies had 'sound tracks', bands or orchestra's hired to develop specific sound track for movie...so far this movie has all of those.
I miss movies that actually felt like movies, and not small studio projects as in what so many movies feel like today.
Not sure how one makes it as an actor or actress today seeing as so many small studio movies constantly being released now using performers I've never even heard of before.
It's is if budgets so low now that the people who make the film also end up starring in it, to save money.
Anyways, this seems like a decent 'old feel' movie to watch from back in the day.

Bad Ben
In this movie here, which is currently airing on Amazon, the character is such a low IQ Paranormal dunce, that I find myself watching the ending of movie over and over again.
And in a way, I'm comforted by his stupidity, cause when that stupid, when it comes to the occult or paranormal, that means you don't know when to be scared.
like one scene in move when chair is moving, and all he can say is 'Stop it!', as if talking to a dog or child.
Are you kidding me?
I'm telling you, the character in this movie is so dumb that you'll find yourself wanting to watch it over and over again just to make sure they are or were as paranormal dumb as you thought they were.

A very gloom filled movie - The Road
It's a good or decent movie, but my gosh it's so full of doom and gloom, but the movie still tries to tell a story in the midst of all the doom and gloom, but even in the end, I still find the over all premise of this movie to just be depressing.

I need to escape into a decent either horror or scary or space fiction type movie right now. Or finish Alien Resurrection that I was watching last night. It sucks having to go back that far to find a decent movie to watch.

The Alien series of movies are on of the few that actully play out like a 'bad' dream or nightmare There's just something about 'Aliens', the franchise of movies, they all play out like some really dark demented nightmare. As of late, I'm a bit caught up in these movies. I guess seeing real true, fictional terror from space helps calm me down a bit, and makes my own real life situation not seem so dire.

Watching 'Blade' right now Watching Blade right now, one of the, if not the, Best Modern Vampire movie made, meaning casting and all, there are really no weak characters in the 1st blade movie. I often wish I had the ability to regenerate like a Vampire and even on this old video version of 'Paranormal Saturday' The concept was explored. I think many people would see Dracula as a hero today, not a villain. The disease his blood could and would cure. I think if a Vampire came to me now, I'd accept their bite, why wouldn't I?

And now for some cinema to help take me away, if not just for a short while
OK, here are my options
1. Antenna TV
2. Netflix
3. Prime
4. You Tube
Which one?
I think I'll roll the dice next to each so that the choice is random, cause if not I'll spend an hour just trying to decide.
----------------------------
Well, Netflix won the dice roll, so Netflix it is.
But to be honest, since resubscribing to Netflix, they don't care the wonderful movies they use to years ago when they were the only streaming channel, now their movie selection is pretty generic, oh well.

The thing of it is, I'm so out of the newer good movie loop, that I don't even know a good movie to watch if I saw it.

And I don't like movies where I'm only suppose to care about a character because of their gender or because they're super cute and adorable. I don't like that.
Movies like that really exclude everyone else from relating to the character.
I mean not everyone is some white, precious, adorable female with blonde hair, yet in many of these movies, scary or not, those are the types of characters pushed to the front as being worthy of 'you' the viewer, caring about, even if black or Indian or Asian or male, or gay or old or this or that.
I mean I think they should preserve cute and adorable for porn movies, and focus more on relatable storylines for general population movies.
'Sucker Punch', is the movie I'm referring to, I guess it came out in 2011.
And when read the reviews, they're all pretty good, but all from the same cast of reviewers, mainly white men who enjoy seeing a blonde gal charade around on screen like some tom boy superhero.
To me, again, it's nothing but non nude porn.
But hey, obviously non nude porn sells, and that's what movie studios are in the business for, is to sell movies.

Continued from above.
I just don't like Hollywood or any studio, telling me what I'm suppose to be attracted to, telling me what I'm suppose to find adorable. And then positioning everyone else to be the villains if don't fit their narrow template of sexually charged and erotic.
I just find it insulting actually, but then again I think to much.

And why the Hell did Disney have to be Lucas films?
Now all the future Star Wars movies will be totally screwed up with odd gender stuff. The future movies will be all preachy now.

It's getting harder and harder for me to settle upon a scary movie to watch, it can sometimes take me a month or more, just to find one I can actually watch for more than 5 minutes, if that. The problem is the movie industry is way over saturated now with so many different studios, and streaming sites that have their own in house productions and all. So you rarely ever get to see the same actor twice anymore, it's like they're all one and done. It's seen a actor in lots of roles and becoming familuar with their style or sway is how movie stars were born in the past. I think maybe movie stars are becoming a thing of the past once this current batch of stars withers away, as in Tom Hanks, Cruise, Snipes, ect. The 80's batch is already gone, or don't act anymore as in Stallone, Bruce Willace, Arnold S, ect, they're already faded out do to just being to old, behind them you have Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Kevin Heart, ect, Jamie Foxx. Outside of Tom Cruise and Rudy Heralson, I can't think of any 'hot' male W actors anymore, don't know the new ones. Will Smith, of course, is still in his prime, minus that slapping incident. Richard Gere, gone, faded, Brad Pitt? where have they been, to old I guess. Point is you use to could name off all the stars, but I can't anymore, cause all these movies have new faces, one and dones. Anyways, about to give 'Paranormal Activities' the marked ones, a try. We shall see.

Disney + and Hulu just sent me email reminding me I have Hulu also, but dang, I don't know. I'm just like to lazy to sign in.
Hulu?
I'm mainly into horror and scary movies, well written ones.
I actually miss my old computer that had dvd player and where I could go to Walmart and just buy all those older cheesy movies from the dvd/blue ray bin, that these streaming movie sites now charge us to view.
Back in the day we would buy these movies from Walmart or the flea market for pennies on the dollar, and now streaming sites do the same and charge us like to view movies that are like 20 year old...wow.

To me 'Hulu' and all the other streaming channels are over rated, all they really do is stream the same older movies we all use to buy from the Walmart bins when had dvd players and or still had computers that came with dvd drives.
And sorry, but the new 'indie' movies, most of them suck, lack depth, lack whatever.
